his hometown crowd with a victory at the
Utica-Rome Speedway. With the sprint car victory
JC became a driver to win a Utica-Rome feature

was running in the sixth position when an
accident developed in front of him. He became
tied into the incident and suffered rear-end
damage. He kept his No. 61 on the track, racing
with no brakes, and limped to an 11th place
finish. |

*After a long trip down to the New Egypt
Speedway Jamie ran a solid second in the
caution-filled main event. After having led the
race for the first part of the feature the event
was cut short to just 13 laps after the event
ran pass the local noise ordinance curfew. |

*As he put it, Jamie lucked out in Afton.
Running 5th in the heat race with one lap to go,
Jamie barely made it into the 4th position on
the final lap to be put into the re-draw. As his
luck would have it, JC drew spot #2. Starting on
the front row JC made the first jump to lead lap
#1 and he would not relinquish the spot. He
rolled to his 3rd win of the year and elevated
himself closer to the point lead. |
